starting a fire in the rain

1. Find a spot under a tree that offers some cover.

2. Criss cross some pencil sized sticks to make a bed to keep you tinder off the wet ground.

3. Use dry bark and pine needles for your tinder, if you can find pine resin it is ideal to help you.

4. Try and split some kindling the wood should be dry inside and make a tee pee with it over the tinder

5. Light your tinder and gently blow on it to get the fire going.
